Servants of the Lord, Sharjah and Northern Emirates

Servants of the Lord (SOLD) is a ministry of the Couples for Christ (CFC). CFC is a worldwide ministry recognized by the Catholic Church. SOLD members are married men, widowers and middle aged bachelors. To be a member one must go through a "Christian Life Program" (CLP). The CLP is conducted twice a year and is made up of three modules. Each module has four talks developed to provide the participant a full understanding of God's plan, His unconditional love, His limitless mercy and how as His creation became His children and how we His children should reciprocate. SOLD was established in 2001. Here in the United Arab Emirates, SOLD is composed of three Chapters namely Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah and Northern Emirates (Ajman, Um Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah). SOLD's membership is open to all nationalities and all Christians of different denominations. Expat communities mostly from the Philippines where CFC originated, Indians, Pakistanis, Africans and christian Arabs comprise SOLD's membership in the UAE. The basic unit of SOLD is called a HOUSEHOLD and is made up of a Household Leader and four to six members. Four to six Households comprise a UNIT. The Unit Leader acts as the groups pastoral head. A number of Units make up CHAPTER with a Chapter Leader a Pastoral Formation Officer and other elders. Weekly praise and worship meetings are held in the HOUSEHOLD level, UNIT level and CHAPTER level. Formation Teachings, General Assemblies, Fellowships and Conferences make up SOLD's yearly calendar.
